Suport From the Homewood Business Association

I support Wind Creek Hospitality in their efforts to design, build and operate a casino and entertainment facility in the Villages of Homewood and East Hazel Crest.

I have given the prospect of a casino in our city much thought over the years. As a Homewood business owner, the Director of the Homewood Business Association and a south suburban resident for over 25 years I believe that this venture would provide many opportunities to the residents of Homewood and to the greater south suburban area.

This project is critical in providing over 800 new local jobs to the south suburban region of Chicago. It would also provide many economic opportunities and would substantially enhance the standard of living in and around the Village of Homewood. The increase in visitors to our area will provide a tremendous positive impact on our local small businesses for years to come. 

In addition, the Villages of Homewood and East Hazel Crest will partner with Wind Creek Hospitality to share a portion of their casino revenue to fund scholarships for disadvantaged students and provide health services in the south suburban region which is expected to distribute $1 million annually.

It is for these reasons that Wind Creek Hospitality deserves support for their casino and entertainment development in the Villages of Homewood and East Hazel Crest.
